Infection on Frendulum

Hi, I recently noticed something on my frenulum.   It feels hard to the touch and raised.  I thought is was a lesion or something at first, but it has no pain associated with it.  Just minor irritation.  The description is very similar to this postings I saw.   I went to the doctor and he said it wasn't herpes.  He said it could be an irritation.   It happened practically overnight after using vitamin E oil.   I'm wondering if the pores got clogged up there or its an infection caused by the oil being contaminated. I've used vitamin E oil before as a lubricate, but normally I wash it off after using it.  The night it happened, I left it on and didn't shower overnight and until the next evening.  I'm uncircumcised and heterosexual.

The following posting   http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/225884?post_id=post_1468840
is exactly what I'm experiencing.

There doesn't seem to be a clear answer.  Its been 4 days and doesn't seem like its getting better.

I'm getting a full STD screening today, but I wanted to get this out there so others may figure out what this problem is.

It's better to not drain things like this most of the time. In the future if it reoccurs try things like warm compresses or soaks in the tubby instead.  anytime you break the skin you risk further complicating things.

Honestly, it was easier to do it myself.  I don't risk embarrassement.  I spent less than 10 dollars on rubbing alcohol, and lighter to heat the needles.   It would have cost me over 300 hundred dollars at the doc's office.  Plus, it didn't hurt one bit.   I don't have insurance, but even if I had insurance, I'm not sure I would go in and have a doc do it.  I've cut bigger warts off my body before with this method.

Oh don't do that to yourself.  If something needs draining, let your doctor do it.

Feel better,

I'm guessing this is probably what it is, enflamed fordyce caused by the vitamin E oil.   It must have clogged the glands there, thus, the formation of what looked like a growing vesicle.  I took a needle to it and released some of the build up.  Only some blood came out, didn't look like puss.  Hopefully it will shrink and return to normal.

I'd also go with irritation from vitamin E.  You should get a good water based lube instead of using vit e cream.

The guy posting in that post indicated he thoguht it was an enflamed tysons or penile popule and it could definitely be that to be sure.  I think the docotrs assessment that it could be cancer was a little over board.  In any event I agree with his assessment your urologist seemed to be saying not much to think about see a dermatologist if you remain concerned we all have spots, discolorations etc from time to time if it does not hurt and a doctor has seen it and gives the all clear I think you should put it our of your head.  Good luck, I wish you all the best.
