Is this an STD or some kind of skin infection?

Hi there. Yesterday, I woke up and had itching on my buttocks (the area beneath your scrotum where the two butt cheeks meet). Out of curiosity, I clicked a picture of the area, and what I saw worried me a bit. The itchy area was grey and scaly and there were what looked like dried up pieces of yellow pus in between my hair down there. I clicked more pictures of that area and there was clearly some kind of yellow substance that was there in between the hair that were growing on that itchy area. I touched that area to feel for any kind of bumps/lesions but could only feel hair and the skin down there. I’d also like to add that this patch of skin was stinging a bit yesterday, but has gotten better since. I still have this slight urge to itch the area (which I’m avoiding).

My questions:
A) Do these signs resemble any STD?
B) If not an STD, what could be the explanation for these symptoms?
