Is this anal warts or something else?

I am a 33yo male and I have a problem with my anus.  About a month ago, I noticed a small bump around the opening of my anus while bathing.  I thought it was some sort of blackhead and didn't think much of it.  It hasn't gone away.  So, I decided to squat over a mirror and take a look.  I noticed that it is not a bump, but a raised strip of skin.  It is pink in color and painless.

I am a bisexual male and have been in a monogamous relationship with a male for about six years.  However, I have only been on the receptive end of anal sex a handful of times.

I managed to get some pics and wasn't sure how to add them to this post, so i posted them on tumblr.  here's the link so you can see them.  http://bradpgh.tumblr.com/

any advice or expertise would be really appreciated.

Hello Grace,

Thanks for the reply.  Perhaps the "read before posting" should be a little more visible.  I had no idea that even existed.  Now that I know it exits, I still am unable to find it among the 1000s of links on this site.  As it is hidden, I'll be looking for it until the proverbial cows come home.

Even though I have not read the "read before posting" page, I'm not really sure what posting pics could hurt.  Although, i'm fairly sure that no one with any intelligence would use this website for a definite diagnosis, I'm sure that a trained eye may be able to shed a little advice.

At any rate, I removed the pics from the tumblr site.

in our read before posting, we explain why we don't look at pictures here.

bottom line is - we can guess until the proverbial cows come home . you need to be seen and get a proper exam.   your provider will be able to tell you is this something normal, a wart or even a hemorrhoid going on.

have you had your gardasil shots?
