Is this the proper treatment for syphilis of unknown length of infection?

I tested positive for syphilis at a local health department (RPR reactive-1:128 FTA reactive). I'm not seeing a doctor, just the local health department case manager. I've never been tested for syphilis and have no symptoms. I received one dose of penicillin on 3/14 and have an appointment tomorrow 3/22 but the case manager said we would be doing a blood draw to test titer level instead of doing another treatment. I am concerned that since we don't know the length of infection, the single dose will not be enough and we should follow the CDC recommendation of 1 dose every week for 3 weeks for a syphilis diagnoses of unknown length of time. Should I request the second dose of penicillin in addition to the blood test for titer level tomorrow? Or is the course of action they are suggesting ok?

Also if the additional doses were necessary I will have waited 2 weeks before the second dose because the next dose would not be until the week of the 27th since the results of the test tomorrow will be in next week. Is this something to be concerned with since they are supposed to be one week apart?
