I had protected oral with another man

I was on a business trip at the beginning of the year and met a man on craigslist and we engaged in protected mutual oral.  I climaxed first at which time we stopped and I finished him off with a hand job.  About a month later I started to have a dull ache in both of my testicles. I also started about a week later to have a slight burning sensation after urination not during.  I had no puss or discharge from my penis.  Also around that time took a 5 day z pack (2 pills immediately and one on each following day) for a sinus problem.  I got worried I might have gotten gonorrhea or chlamydia so I ordered a couple of the I care home test kits for both.   They both come back negative, I was wondering how reliable these kits were as the only symptom I occasionally have is still a slight ache occasionally in my testicles
