NSU, NGU, Doxy

I know i've asked alot of questions, but this may be the last as this is starting to wind down. I tested for NGU a while back..negative...as far as I know, I still am. But the symptoms remain. I went to a Urologist and he said I'll give you Doxycicline for NSU. Does this mean that I have it? Also, I got these symptoms 2 months ago in the 5th month of a relationship...i'm starting to question my GF's honesty and cause of these symptoms, our relationship is beginning to suffer cause i don't trust her as much...she's adamnentally denying she did a thing. But as far as i know, NSU/NGU is only from sex.

I can't tell you why Dr did this or that.

I really can't take this further and you need to talk to your Dr's about this and ask them these questions. They are testing you, they are examining you, they are prescribing medication for you.

All the new doc said was take this. It's for NSU. But two minutes before, he went onto Hospital database and pulled up my neg swab results. Does Doxy treat Prostatis? The only thing he did was dip a piece of paper in my urine and say negative. We talked and he mentioned sticking a camera in my penis.

Now, he gave me Doxy...is it true that NSU can be from irritation, soap, normal vaginal secretion? Anyways...should my girl get on Doxy too.

Not annoyed just not sure what more I can say.

Negative tests for NGU...you are negative. Don't know why a different Dr told you what he/she did.

Never heard of symptoms showing up more then 2 weeks after the infection.

As I have said before NGU/NSU can be normal mouth bacteria, no way can you use it to say someone has cheated.

i understand your annoyance with me...but this is a new development. This situation is causing great strain in my relationship...my trust has wained and she is adament about her faithfulness. Why would my test be negative for NGU, then another doctor say i have NSU. My mental state is influx, and i might break up with my GF over this..After all the stories you heard from me, is the most likely cause of my situation thats he was being unfaithful. or can symptoms actually show up months or even years later.

i just found this article...it says that "Symptoms can happen at the time of infection or many months later. As symptoms can be very mild symptoms may be ignored. Up to 50% of men have no symptoms at all. Non-specific urethritis can also occur many years into a relationship."

Grace,

also, i don't have discharge! really at all, just sometimes a feeling of it with nothing there. I want this ordeal to end...from what i'm telling you..no discharge, slight ache burn in urethra...feeling of a bubble in my penis...what would your conclusion be..is this doc. just basically treating me with doxy in hopes that it will clear up? Like i said before, my mind is running in a million directions...please be brutally honest with me.

He dipped some paper in my urine and tossed it, said it was neg...he looked up my results from previous visits about a month ago when i tested for NGU via swab and said it looked normal...he then just said take this for NSU...I mean, if it is NSU, how did i catch it in a monog. relationship...i'm 110 faithful. What other things does Doxy treat? He also mentioned to make an appt. for a camera to go in my urethra. But that i'm nervous about. Thsi whole ordeal is destroying my relationship...i'm convinced she strayed.
