Nervous about gential herpes

I have found a pimple like bump in my pubic hair region. I have done some reading and it seems as though herpes is more of a rash with multiple bumps. Is this correct? Because this is one single bump and it doesnt itch nor does it burn. I often times trim my pubic hair and have even shaved it before. Is it possible that this is an ingrown hair of some sort?

Herpes virus is not the same as wart virus which is the Human papilloma virus. You may want to have this bump examined by your Doctor. Take care,

So there is a difference between warts and herpes? I thought a gential wart was a herpe? I have had warts on my hand before but they look nothing like this.

Yes, sounds more like an ingrown hair... This can't be herpes because those are puss filled and so irritating, often painful and itchy... usually, they are not signle in number... herpes are mostly clustered... Warts (doesn't itch neither burn nor painful) are often confused with pimples, you should see your doctor for accurate diagnoses...
