Nsu/Ngu infertility
After multiple treatments from my gu clinic I am still suffering from nsu penile discharge , they are now telling me that it has been treated but the discharge may take a few months to clear , I am now worried about infertility as I have read nsu can cause this ?
You have not told us what you have been treated with. Were you treated for Trich with Metronidazole or Tinidazole? If you weren't, you should go back and request this treatment as Trich is one cause of persistent NGU. It should not take months for your discharge to go away, it's a sign that something isn't right. My doctors tried to tell me my problem may be in my head, but when I continued to tell them I had discharge, that was the only thing they needed to hear to continue trying to get to the bottom of it, as they said discharge is a sure sign that there is still some infection. 3 months later and many antibiotics later, the discharge finally was finally stopped
keep going back monthly and get tested. if they see nothing unusual in your discharge, then you know it's not infectious and not a risk to your fertility.
Thanks for the reply just worried that as it has never fully gone away I may be at risk of infertility
you were treated, odds are this isn't a risk to your fertility at all.
