Oral causes STD?

I had a guy perform unprotected oral sex on me(i'm a girl). Can I get an std called chancroid this way?

if you shower regularly then you are clean dear. cleanliness has nothing to do with std status.

this was incredibly low risk. if you had no symptoms, consider it a learning experience and move on.  keep condoms handy for the future!

correct. the risk of a std in general from oral sex is rather low.

www.ashastd.org has terrific info on all std's , how to transmit them and how to test for them. sounds like you need a better education in general on std's so it's well worth reading through the info there :)

Are you saying that me receiving unprotected oral sex was NOT the same as having unprotected sex, in terms of contracting STDs/HIV? Since you said I didn't do anything that even warranted testing.

you already had your hiv and oral sex risk question answered on the hiv forum.  

you've had no symptoms. you had no reason for any testing either to be honest.

time to put this incident to rest and move past it.

if you are in the US, chancroid is almost unheard of.

have you had symptoms since you received oral sex?
