Oral STD or Tonsillitis????

Ok, so long question...bear with me!  There was this guy I was seeing last yeat, we made out, just kissing last september and then two days later I got something resembling strep, but the strep test was neg and he wasn't sick. Didn't see eachother anymore until December, when we had protected vaginal sex...didn't get sick that time.  Then, a week and a half ago we got together again and I gave him unprotected oral and we had protected vaginal sex.  Two days later I got something resembling strep...same thing as last time.  Strep test neg, mono neg.  I am still waiting the results of a mono EBV test.  I have swollen neck lymph nodes, swollen sore tonsils with white spots on them, some drainage, fever, high white blood cell count. I was put on z-pack and given a shot of rocephin last wednesday was feeling better sat, so I went out and I think I may have over-did it, I know feel worse than before.  I was running a 101.5 F fever all day yesterday.  I went to the dr. today and asked about the possibility of oral stds, she looked at me like I was a leper, and said that if it was that then the antibiotics would clear it up. Started me on another round of antibiotics.  Could it be an std or is it more likely some kind of virus?  This guy is the only guy that I have been with, kissing and everything, is it possible that my immune system is just not very strong?

That's what I am hoping.  It's just kind of crazy that I got the same kind of virus after being with that guy.  But like I said, I have only been with him, so maybe my immune system is just not that built up.  Thank you so much for your input, it makes me feel a lot better!

It doesn't sound like an std - probably some kind of funky virus.
