PID/MG

What is the likely hood if a female was infected with mycoplasma genitalium that she would develop PiD without symptoms for two years?
Or if this was the case would the symptoms of made it a medical emergency before this?

There are no STDs that cause symptoms of the sort you describe for yourself, including M genitalium. There is nothing in your story that suggests you or your partner have any infection of any kind from your sexual exposure 2 years ago. I agree exactly with your family, your doctor, and the clinic:  the only possible connection of your symptoms to that event is psychological only. As for your wife's symptoms, they have obvious explanations other than STD and for sure are unconnected with your past sexual history.

Do your best to move on without worry, and avoid the temptation to explain every health issue in you or your wife by that distant past lapse in judgment.

Ok let me run the story passed you,

2 years 1 month ago I had a one night stand unprotected oral and vaginal sex were I cheated on my long term partner, one month later I started having a mix of the following symptoms which all started within six months and some went.

Pain in the shaft of the penis, dull ache lower right hand side back travelling round to the front, burning sensation in my inner thighs and also in my lower back that spreads upwards, ache in my armpits (this started after three months), dull aches in my groin area, dull ache in the testicles (this has gone).

After about 9 months after trips to the Drs and scans for kidney stones and of my bladder they prescribed Amitriptyline as they believed it was neurologicall.  I already suffer from myasthenia gravis, but when I asked my neurologist she believed wasn't related.

Now the tablets have helped And the actual pain in the penis and groin is rare these days but I mainly still have the burning sensations and ache i. The arm pits ( can't feel no swelling ).  It seems to be worse if I am at work, or if my stress levels suddenly raise l, I can be on holiday for a week virtually feel nothing go back to work and it starts again.  Like I said this was technically a mentally bad experiNce, I have often wondered about sexual anxiety and thought this would be the case tried to put to the back of my mind and over times as mentioned symptoms seem to ease off.

I was tested chlamydia, gonahrea, trick, syphliis, HIV all clear and my family Dr and  the clinic said it couldn't be a sexual transmitted disease  so life carried on and I put it down to anxiety and kind of my body punishing me for what I had done.

Now my parter over the last few years has suffered with bloated ness which had been diagnosed as trapped wind,  given medication each time and it's gone in 4-5 days.  Over the last few months she has had the urgency to go to the toilet more often and the last few times we have had sex she has bled afterwards.  She does have a coil fitted.  She is booked for a smear test of Tuesday Nd is going to mention the toilet problem and bleeding.  Funnily when she told me this yesterday symptoms went up.

Am I just trying to join to many dots together to find a conclusion that is possibly mg and she is suffering from Pid?

Also unknown.  Probably yes, but most studies In men were in patients with NGU (with symptoms). Too few asymptomatic men have been tested for M gen to know what percent of newly infected guys would and would not have symptoms.

Ok thanks hmm that's kind of answered my question but presented more in my head.  I think the answer really at the moment is no one is certain

although I have a second question around mg but this time male, can a male have mg with no discharge?

Entirely unknown but apparently rare. The potential for M genitalium to cause PID is uncertain; if it does so, it seems to be infrequent. It is equally unknown whether MG can cause silent PID or only with symptoms like low abdominal pain. Regardless of cause, for most PID the symptoms are mild, not sufficiento to be any kind of "medical emergency".
