Will minocycline effect my std in any ? Contracting / testing

If you have the answers thank you in advance.
Recieved oral sex 3 days ago but I take 200mg of minocycline a day if I was wanting to go get tested will this affect my test results at all?
The doctors on here even on google say at one point minocycline was used to treat gonorrhea and that is my major concern from oral at this point. 3rd day no symptoms I can see.
The doctors say although it's not the best drug to treat gonorrhea any longer it would cenrtinaly help preventing it from oral.
Also many sites still say the drug is used is still used to treat gonorrhea with out complications. I know many forms of gonorrhea just looking for advice as I dont want to stop my meds to go get tested. Some site say oral sex carry high risk some say low risk but with gay men I'm sure they say risk is higher. Man giving me oral was gay I'm bi and only receave oral if that makes a difference.

Hi - Minocycline may give you a false negative on an STD test for gonorrhea and chlamydia. (Any antibiotic would.)

Depending on the dose, it may cure gonorrhea, though there is some resistance to it now with certain strains of gonorrhea. It MAY prevent you from getting it, but the studies done that showed it would are quite old, and were done before resistance.

All that said, oral sex is lower risk, even for men who have sex with men. Even though with men it is a higher risk than for oral sex with women (the penis often gets into the throat where bacteria resides, which obviously isn't possible with the vagina), it is still a lower risk than genital to genital or genital to anal sex.

I'm not sure why you are taking the mino, but if you are concerned about this, it would warrant a talk with your doctor.

Best of luck!
