Please help! Can I contract an STD from saliva?

Dear Dr,

I recently got a handjob from a sex worker who used their saliva as lube for the handjob, during the session she seemed to have had a sore throat since due to slight coughs but I did not find any signs of inflammation on her cheeks.

Im worried that I might be of risk of contracting an STD since she used her saliva as lube for the handjob.

Questions:
- Am I at risk of having an STI or STD
- Can I get an STD or STI from saliva

Thank you

Hand jobs aren't a way that people get STD's.  Saliva has the small risk of HSV 1 or oral/mouth herpes being transmitted through it but that is usually kissing.  Straight saliva for a hand job has the theoretical risk of passing that but likely won't happen.  Unless you break out with a sore, I would not be concerned.
