Possible STI/STD or Yeast infection?

Hi there,

While having unprotected sex with my now ex girlfriend, I noticed burning during and immediately after, tiny red spots/bumps appeared on the penile glans a day later, they did not appear to cluster, but there were a few in closer proximity to each other. They were located near the upper half of the glans. The lower part of the glans became really sensitive and red, and a large section of skin had peeled off. Sort of like a sunburn. Within a few days the spots dissipated and the peeled skin area became less sensitive and returned to normal with dead skin flaking off. The whole episode lasted no more than a week or less. There did not appear to be any discharge, odd smell or anything. The spots/bumps did not appear to be filled with any fluid. The symptoms were located exclusively on the glans and the burning/sensitivity was present when having sex, while the sensitivity was there always. I am an uncircumcised otherwise healthy 26 year old male.

However, I now notice that when erect, there are still tiny bumps visible, sometimes slightly reddish in appearance but the vast majority the same color as the skin. I do not know of they were there before or not. They are not noticeable when flaccid. But if you squeeze the glans you can make a few out.

I did not treat it with anything, only abstained from sex and put some Polysporin (I thought it would help at the time) on it. It has been over a month since the episode. The partner I was having sex with was diagnosed with a yeast infection a few weeks after the initial episode.

Could this be an infection that has not yet fully resolved itself? Is there more to worry about here? In any event I will be having a full test for STD/STIs as my partner was unfaithful and frankly I cannot trust her status anymore.

No, I went to a sex health clinic and they said it might be fordyce spots. But the location is a little odd. However, they were certain it was benign.

I was worried herpes, they said if it was that I'd be in a lot of pain. Not to mention its been more than 2 weeks with no real change.

I had all STD tests come back negative with the exception of HSV1/HSV2 which was not run, no one seems to want to run on me absent of any visible painful sores to take a swab of. Which I never had.

I am hoping to find a dermatologist for a second opinion.
