Reddish spot on pubic area after exercise, std?

Hi all,

I had a wired experience lately. I have realised a pimple on my pubic area on 7 Mar (7 days after I had PROTECTED ORAL sex on 1 Mar). I was quite worried that night but the symptoms disappeared in 1 day (Only one pimple, no discharge, no pain, no blister).

My GP told me this is just normal irritation and I also told him I didn't have unprotected sex at all since 2016, in terms of both oral and penetrative sex. This sounded make sense to me since the day before I went to running and sweated a lot and wore the same underwear for a while after running.

However, this incident had alerted me so that I was obsessively checking my genital area in case I could pass anything to my girlfriend. I had asked doctor if I need checking but he told me no STD symptoms can disappear in 1 day

On 25th Mar, I went running again with a tight underwear which I had wore it for around 26 hours. I went shower afterwards and found that the skin where I had the pimple before became irritated. Again, it is not itchy but I started to worried if this is something serious. In the meantime, I applied the anti-inflammation cream two times to the spot. It almost 80% gone after a night of sleep and it disappeared in 24 hours. So my questions are:

(i) Do I need to worry that if it is herpes? Does it sound like a recurrent herpes?

(ii) From my understanding, Herpes could appear in the pubic area but that's not very common. In the meantime, herpes usually appear in cluster and usually comes with pain, which does not seem to be applicable for my case.

(iii) Protected oral sex is an effective way to protect against herpes (tho not 100% protective due to skin-to-skin contact) but the odds for protective oral sex is already quite low so I should have nothing to be worried?

(iv) The irritation appears after I doing sports. So can I induce sweat is the potential cause instead of serious STD?

(V) my doctor said it’s very unlikely std symptoms can go away in 1-2days, is it true?

Many thanks for your help!
