Reply to the misunderstood

I realize this is an old thread, but for anyone in the present/future reading this forum- there seems to be confusion with the Doctors reply. He didn't say the infection cures it's self over time in men, he was saying "the symptoms clears them self over time"...  Chlamydia is a bacterial infection that has to be treated with an antibiotic to "cure" it in male or female! What he was saying is that "symptoms of Chlamydia can clear up and make you think as though maybe you're cured"-but not the case

Thanks for linking this- I just read this over and I am a little confused/puzzled by this. Wouldn't Chlamydia left untreated turn into Pelvic Inflammatory Disease and/or some other complications? Everything I have read up on Chlamydia states that the bacteria continues to thrive and work its way up a woman's reproductive track?!
