STD Test...

I am on the pill and have had sex with my (now ex) boyfriend without condoms four or five times. He told me that he had been tested and that he knew he didn't have any STDs. His sister's a sexual health nurse and he always says that after seeing the photographs he'd never put himself or another person at risk.

AFTER I'd performed unprotected oral sex on him several times – BEFORE we'd had sexual intercourse - I had an STD test with my local GP which tested me for everything. If he did have any STDs, I realise that I would've caught them through oral sex.

As the results all came back negative, am I correct in believing that we are both STD free? Or are there any diseases I could've caught purely through unprotected intercourse?

It has been two months and I do not and have not had any symptoms at all. He's given me no reason not to believe him and I realise I'm probably just being parnoid, and I'm sorry if I'm wasting your time.

That is how you test for oral gonorrhea. Also syphilis and herpes take 6 weeks and 3-4 months for testing to be conclusive after possible exposure. Not trying to scare you just giving you the truth. Also some truth is that oral STD's are uncommon and syphilis in a straight man in a developed country is very uncommon and no real risk for herpes without an active outbreak.

Overall your risk with oral sex is very low. Unprotected sex is higher then oral sex and some STD's do not show symptoms.

I would recommend testing for gonorrhea and chlymida and that is really all at this point.

Unless you know he is 100% STD free then if you do know that don't worry about it at all.
