STD Testing, How reliable?

How reliable are tests to see if you're completely STD free?

If I get my girl tested, will it be 100%?

I'm asking because there are so many cases of "HSV2 appeared in my monogamous relationship 10 years later" and apparently is a common thing.

In a serious conversation say:

"I would like to talk to you about something very important to me.  Its about my health and your health.   I just want you to  know that I have been tested for all major STDs, and here are my results.   (show them to her if you would like to see results yourself).
Thank God I have nothing and would like to stay that way."

When they hears this they think about it. Right.  (I know because someone told me this)
You can say, "I don't do anything with any anybody unless I know they are clean."

another question for ya.

This girl I know... I don't know her very well... Not well enough to openly ask her to get tested and show me the results. How do I get a girl that I don't know that well to go and get tested with me? Will the doctor tell me her results?

To get to know a girl well enough for testing, you sleep with her.
To sleep with her, you need to be sure she's clean. Get my dilemma?

8 or more weeks HIV testing is completely reliable as well. That is how long ELISA tests are designed to pick up antibodies at 100% accuracy. The CDC recommends additional four weeks to be completely sure, hence, the 3 month mark.

Yes, you are in the clear. All it takes to std free is to be in a monogamous relationship.

So theoretically if I haven't slept with anyone in 6 months and neither has she. Then we both get tested for everything, then we'll be in the clear?
