STD after condom slipped off?

I am a 26 year old male, and I have had exclusive occasional unprotected sex with a 25 year old female for some time now.

Last night I had protected sex with a fairly promiscuous 37 year old female, but the condom slipped off. She assured me that the condom slipped off as soon as I pulled out, since I did not hold the condom when I pulled out. Her argument to back up this statement was that the condom was hanging out, and not completely inside her. Unfortunately, I personally did not notice at which the condom slipped off exactly.

My questions are:
• What are the odds that I contracted an STD from this event?
• If you believe I should get tested, when should I go?
• Should I avoid unprotected sex with the 25 year old female until I get the results?

Thank you for your help.

Gonorrhea-90%+ in about 1 week
Chlamydia-50%+ in about 2 weeks
Syphilis-very likely at about 3 weeks
Herpes-Not sure
HIV-no real symptom #, but HIV is not a huge concern

Dear Vance2335,

Thank you for your quick and informative answer. Because you seem to have a lot of knowledge on this matter, I was wondering if I could maybe ask you two more questions.

Even though there are huge amounts of information available about STD’s, online, it is hard for me to find quantitative data. I have read on many websites that several STD’s can be asymptomatic in males. However, I have not been able to find in how many cases each kind of STD is asymptomatic. For example, if Chlamydia shows clear symptoms in 95% of the male patients, I would be ok to wait for the symptoms before I take action. If it only shows symptoms in 20% of the male patients, I would not be ok to wait.

My question are:
• In the case I am infected by one of the STD’s you mentioned above, do you perhaps know how likely I am to develop clear visible/noticeable symptoms from each one?
• How soon should I start noticing these symptoms (are the times the same as the testing times you mentioned above)?

Thank you again for your help.

M.

I think you should take her word for it and if you do then it is no risk.

If you don't then to answer your questions...
1. Low risk from a 1 time encounter

2. Most condoms do come off on with drawl but since you can't be sure I will give testing times.
Gonorrhea and chlamydia-1 week
Syphilis-6 weeks (doubt you would need this test)
Herpes and HIV-3 months

3. Only a decision you can make.
