STD's transmitted through heavy fingering

Last week I was in a drunken state and ended up going back with a man. I remember our encounter and know that all was involved was kissing and he fingered me very deeply for a a bit of a time. I know that we did not have sex and there was no oral sex given by either of us. I plan on going to the clinic to get a full sex screening just to be sure, but I was wondering what is the likelihood that if he had some sort of STD that he would pass it to me through rough fingering. I have read up on different things and noticed that the NHS says fingering could be a risk factor. Am I more at risk to certain STDs than others? What are my chances that I have caught any sort of STD? I'm very worried and anxious about this, even though people have tried to tell me that I am thinking irrationally about it and STDs aren't passed through fingering.

no, licking the fingers and then fingering someone is not a risk for hsv1. same as mutual masturbation isn't a risk for herpes either.

crabs are transmitted through direct skin on skin contact- aka naked foreplay - not from fingering.

any open cuts on the fingers/hands with bleeding and pus would contain bacterial contamination of the non-std nature.

really, no need to try to worry people who are already anxious needlessly!!!

Simply put if he had cuts/blisters in his fingers there could be a chance that he transmitted something if they were bleeding/puss another thing you could be looking at is if he had anything genital going on with himself (IE Crabs/Herpes) if he did and he had open wounds for herpes then touched himself then you it could spread that way. If all of this is a null argument then just simply from fingering you with no risk factors of himself then no you cannot magically attract some sort of std. Another thing too is if he has HSV-1 (Cold Sores on mouth) and he was licking his fingers before fingering you then yes that could cause genital HSV-1. I would not delve too deep into thought on this if I were you until I got tested. Good luck with your testing.

Thank you for your reassurance. The thing that has me concerned is about 5 days after this event(yesterday) I woke up and my vaginal area feeling incredibly swollen. Today it is slightly itchy and is more uncomfortable than anything else really. Is there any STIs/STDs that could come from my type of encounter that could be the reason I am having this issue in your opinion?

Hi and welcome. No std's can be passed this way. You dont need testing at all.
