STI WORRY

Hi Doctor,

I need your help. I received oral sex from a prostitute on the 28th Nov 2008. A condom was used and I went to the local GUM clinic on the 16th Dec 2008 and had full testing which came up negitative. However I did take a  5 day course of antibotics for a chest infection starting on the 1st December. I am totally up the walls with worry as I have never done anything like this before and wondered would this effect the tests that I had as I have sore testicles of and on and am not sure if this is anxiety. Please advise.

Yeah I was confident that those would, but every negative test result is a great test result.

Vance,

Can't thank you enough, you have helped me through a very difficult time. Thanks.

By the way my 3 month HIV and Syphilis also returned clear.

Probably will not do anything to the tests. If it did anything it would have cleared up a possible STD.

It was amoxcillon 250mg

It should be, most antibiotics do not interfer with test results.

I am going to try and forget about this and move on. One last question, I finished a course of antibotics 11 days before my tests, is this sufficent time for the results to be conclusive.

Leaking probably just pre-seminal fluid. I don't see how you could get anything when using a condom.

So the leaking is anxiety related

See a Dr at this point since you are still have anxiety over it, but like I said you used a condom and really have no worries.

Hi man!

"SAVE YOUR MAIN TOY"

As your penis/testicles are probably you’re most important toys it’s not something you want to risk loosing. In other words: I would take it to a doctor if I where you.

It might not even have to be an STD, but might as well be something else.

If you get the thirsty feeling as well as a lot of urinating it could for instance be a sign of diabetes.

Hi Everyone,
Need some more help. I am still having the feeling of having to urinate quite often and am having the occasional leak of clear fluid from my penis. What can this be ? I am still anxious about what happened.

Yes I bet it is anxiety.
I received oral sex many many months ago and had the same discomfort and leak. But after I found out that my risk was very very low I moved on and do not have the feelings anymore.
Since your risk was non-existant due to condom usage you can expect the same thing.

Sore testicles of and on and a feeling to urinate more often. I also feel like I have leaked a little but when I check I have not.

What sensations? You did not say anything about that in your original question.
But no matter what I would believe that it is anxiety. because as I said condoms work and do not pass STD's when used properly.
