STI

My girlfriend went to the hospital and was told she had a sexually transmitted staph infection. That is was probably passed to her by me through oral sex, unprotected sex or fingering. How possible is this? When I always use protection.

as long as her symptoms got better with treatment, I wouldn't worry about it. if they linger or return, she should see her gyn.

did you both get full std testing that included herpes testing prior to starting to be intimate together?

Hey Grace,
I'm not sure which test she had. She said she was experiencing discharges and some irritation.

staph infections are direct contact infections, we don't consider them std's. you can have them in any area of the body.

what testing did she have done?  did she have symptoms?
