Scared and need advice

Before I start I have already been to the clinic but the test will take 2 weeks and im not sure how i will last that long

I'm a male and i had unprotected sex including oral with a lady 5 days ago. After the first day I developed a soar throat and after 2 days my tongue has developed a white coating and is swollen. Today on day 5 I have noticed a small soar on the inside of my upper lip. I'm now starting to think that I must have contracted an STD and was wondering if these sypmtoms are common with either gonorrhea, herpes or other!

Im now starting to have pains in my testicles and buring when passing water although not that painful, I think this maybe down to worrying and the symptons in my mouth.

Any advice would we greatly received as im not sure i can wait two weeks.

I think you should let your doc see the sore.  Did he see the swollen tongue?  If not, he should.

If it is swollen to a point where it is restricting breathing, go to the ER immediately.

Thanks for your promt response Aj

The clinic took a throat swab today before the soars appeared, do you think I should go back now that I have these soars or would the throat swab pick up on herpes?

Also do you know If my symptoms of a swollen and discoloured tongue are assocaited with herpes and would this appear within 1 to 3 days?

Sorry I know you have probably answered most of these questions but im justr so scared and not sure what to do

Wow - 2 weeks?  That's a long time.

In any case, it doesn't sound like an std because you got symptoms so fast, and because most oral stds don't have symptoms.

I would suggest going to your primary and getting a throat culture for strep.  That sounds a lot more like what you have than anything else.

The sore on your lip could be anything - maybe its a canker sore, maybe you bit it, etc.  If it was a herpes sore, your doctor should be able to identify it.
