Skin colored open sore on penis

I recently (4 months ago) had sex with a new partner. I used protection while having vaginal intercourse with her, but I did not when I received oral sex.. A few weeks later I saw an open sore on my penis. It did not hurt at all, did not tingle, and was not raised. It was flesh-colored and appeared as if the top layer of skin had vanished (so it looked like a hole almost).. I took a z-pack about a month later. After about 2 months, I tested negative for all STD's but I do not feel right about the incident..
It has recently disappeared. Does anyone have a clue about what this sounds like?

sounds like a fungal infection more than anything. your regular provider is fine to see to confirm that it is.

Thanks Grace.. I tested again and everything was negative. However, the rash on one side of my penis is still there. It itches like crazy now. I did notice a few very small bumps. They do not flake, open up, or ooze liquid. The skin seems moist and shiny.. My skin on the penis (on that one side) seems wrinkled in appearance.
What does it sound like to you? And do you recommend a dermatologist or family doctor? I want to be seen by another doctor. My last one didnt seem to understand how to evaluate

since it's gone, hard to tell what was going on.

should it reoccur, be seen for a proper evaluation.
