Some but not all symptoms?

I am curious if you can have some but not all the symptoms of an std? This relates to a question I asked a while back because I am still unable to get tested for a couple more weeks due to work and my location.

Four weeks ago, I received unprotected oral sex from a woman I had never met until that day at a party. I was really drunk and only recall that one exposure happening. I am married and really regret what I did, not that it matters at this point. It lasted only about a minute or two and I did not ejaculate.

I freaked out and took 1.5 grams of Zithromax in one dose about 4 days after exposure and received a one gram shot of ceftriaxone 6 days after exposure. I never had testing done as I have been unable to because of a work trip and had to work a deal to get the meds. Symptoms I am having are:

-Pain and burning in groin. (Mainly on the left side directly up and left of my penis. It is tender to touch if I dig around in there trying to locate the spot. I feel nodes on both sides but they are small and I have to search for them. I can’t tell if that’s what hurts.)
-Cold and tender thighs.
-Testicular discomfort.
-The occasional urgency to urinate.
-Sometimes the tip of my penis tingles? But I think I have felt it before the encounter.
-My bladder seems hot? Subsided after urination completely.

I do NOT have burning during urination or discharge. I feel like everything between my knees and groin hurt, and can’t tell if it’s anxiety. I have been married for more than a decade and the thought of my terrible judgement jeapordizing that  is killing me inside. I have masturbated a few times just to see that everything comes out normal and it does. I also have tenderness and soreness in the ligaments mainly the ligaments the are in the crevice between my pelvis and leg.  It feels like it goes all around where my leg meets my pelvis and feels like it goes around to my buttocks occasionally. I also feel a weird fluttering like sensation of the muscles in my groin area every now and then.

I feel that I am able to suppress these symptoms mentally and they come back. I feel that I can sleep fine and the symptoms manifest throughout the day and go away near bedtime.

Please help.

I had the same problem, after I protected oral my only symptoms were low abdomin pain.. below my belly button in my pelvic area. No discharge, no redness. Did you ever get tested? Curious if this is UTI, NGU... ?

I have been unable to get tested due to work. How long ago was your encounter and have you had any testing done?
My encounter was over 3 months ago. I was tested for HIV, Syphilis, gonorrhea, and herpes. All negative. He prescribed me doxycycline 100mg two pills a day for 7 days, just in case of anything else. Honestly I believe mine was all anxiety! The day I started my prescription my symptoms went away.
That’s fantastic to hear!  My pain has pretty much been focused on my pelvic region just above and left of my penis. Almost like a burn which makes me think it’s muscular. I can’t tell if it’s something connected to my testicles or not but throughout the day, the more I think about it, it’s like it wears me out and makes me feel tired. I haven’t worked out as much as I am used to so I am in worse shape, which I think explains why I feel like my pulse or blood pressure seems higher. But again, that could be contributed to over sensitivity to my body’s natural sensations. I had super effective medications, so mentally, I realize the chances of me having anything or super minimal. I just need tested.
Got tested and all negative. My mind really got to me. Definitely a life lesson learned and I will never forget the way this mistake made me feel.

The symptoms that you described are definitely not STDs related. It really is hard to mentally correct that thought. Try to get at least a urinalysis. I don't think (very low to zero risk) you caught anything from that 1-2 minutes exposure.

Thanks guilt. I read this website all day long when I have a lull in my day which I know doesn’t help at all. I believe that it is in my head also, and then as soon as I convince myself of that, I think terrible thoughts and it starts the worry process all over again. I have asked God for a sign for years to help me live a better, more family oriented life and I think he gave me one in a very unorthodox way. I have every intention in getting tested asap. I appreciate the assurance you have given me on my last two posts.
