If the sore throat persists, you might want to get that cultured for strep throat (has nothing to do with sex).

with the burning then it could be gonorrhea. but like i said it could be nothing because STD's from oral sex is not common. not rare either but not a common transmission.
well when I do urinate, I do experience the burning sensation so I am thinking I did contract something, however, I am happy that sti's like gonorhea can be treated. I just wanted to know if this could be related to the sore throat I have.
Well I don't think you will have anything to be treated. Most likely if you had gonorhea or NGU you would have symptoms like burning while urinating or discharge.
Most STD's that are spread are from unprotected vaginal or anal sex. Oral sex still has a risk but it is far lower then vaginal or anal.
Thank you very much. I really appreciate the info. Now I just have to wait until next week for the results to come in and hopefully get treated. Thanks again.
Chamydia does not live well in the mouth so she would not have it in her mouth. And for gonorrhea it is possible to get it in the throat but it is not transmitted through kissing.
You could get gonorrhea, NGU, herpes or syphilis from having oral sex performed on you. Gonorrhea and NGU most likely would show symptoms by now and syphilis is very very rare. And you would have probably noticed a sore if she had herpes.
I went to planned parent hood about 2 1/2 weeks after the encounter. Planned parenthood only does std testing once a week, so thats why it took me quite some time to get there especially since I did not think of going to get checked until a week after. I guess I was in denial and did not want to believe I had anything.
And thats good information. I was just thinking that I may have contracted it in my throat through kissing. So just to be 100 % positive, when she performed oral sex on me and then kissed me, I can't contract any std such as gonorrhea or clamydia from her?
You had oral sex performed on you, so any symptoms in your throat is not related to that incident and it's not an STD. STD's do not travel through the body like that. If you got gonorrhea or NGU then it would stay on your penis. Your sore throat is just a sore throat nothing more.
How long after the exposure did you go to planned parenthood for testing?
