Syphilis secondary stage

Hi experts, so I had an unprotected exposure 4 mpnths and had secondary syphilis symptoms (Rash on the body, bad muscle ache, chills, fever, fatique). I did HIV and VDRL tests. HIV 4th gen came back negative but VDRL came positive with 1.64 titre. I was treated with Penincilin 2.4 on my butt. My question here is 1.64 does it mean the infection is too high and Ill need more injections. How much time it takes for Syphilis to cure after treated. Thanks

Hi firstly when a person tests positive with the vdrl and second test RPR is done to confirm it as the vdrl could just be antibodies from a prior infection. the recommendation would be to have the other test performed to confirm your status. its really the only answer for confirming.

Hi thank you. I forgot to mention a confirmation test was done at the centre TPHA and then RPR they both  came back positive. Just wantes to know if a shot of 2.4 of peninclin is enough for infection with such titre and do i need to keep doing follow up tests to check of treatment is working. thanks.
Please ignore the spelling errors.
Also MR Dave when should I retest after the penicillin dose (Penicillin Benz was used) to understand if the titre has reduced to four folds. Currently my titre before treatment was 1.64.
Can someone answer my question please?
My question was answered half way :(.
