Syphilis?

Hello,

Back in 2015 I had a one night stand with someone. 5 days later I got a pimple of some sort on my penis. Well I went to test for all stds and I was all good. I got back with my girlfriend 3 months after that and I thought I was all good. Well 2 months after we got back together I noticed a cluster of blisters on my penis. Well I went that day and I got another full std panel. Everything was good except hsv2 which I got and to this day I still test positive (have had 5 tests done). Well about a week after my girlfriend and I got back together I got a real back sore throats with white stuff on my throat. Went to the doctor and he tested me for strept and mono and tests came back negative. Well he put me on keflex (250mg twice a day for 10 days) totaling 5000mg course. My concern is that I got syphilis has well as hsv2 that same encounter but the keflex cured my syphilis but I gave it to my girlfriend before I was cured. Will that low of a dose keflex cure syphilis? I also had a full test 1 1/2 months post keflex and everything was fine except hsv2. I'm assuming the syphilis test was an rpr so if I had it for 3 months then cured wouldnt it have still been positive even after I was treated? I didn't notice a chancre or anything. Except a pimple on my penis that when squeeze green pus came out. I'm assuming that was herpes but herpes causes blisters. I'm still together with her and it just crossed my mind about the keflex and now I'm really worried. I didn't notice a rash or anything on me nor her. Are we ok?

Keflex. also isn't recommended to treat syphillis but from my research could be effective but results are not well researched

Syphillis doesn't show in 5 days after exposure and testing after 3 months would be conclusive.
