Syphillis chancre ?

Hey there, I had unprotected sex a little over a month ago. I got tested for stds at 1 month and everything came back negative including syphillis. However, now a red circle appeared on my penis. It pretty much looks like it peeled and red is just under it. I know it's skin because like 3 days after darker skin formed on top of it which I ended up peeling off and it brought it back to the red skin. Can a chancre appear like this ? A circle that looks like it peeled, it's completely flat it just looks like a perfectly peeled circle, no pus or anything. Thanks.

I'm not entirely sure if she did have any sores or chancre for that matter. Just uncertain whether my peeling skin that forms a circle is a chancre or not, seeing as I did test negative at 1 month however I know it can take up to 90 days to show positive
