Very red, Intensely itchy and swollen penis

A few days ago my penis became extremely itchy and I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary down there so I applied some clotrimazole cream to it and called it a day.

The next day it was even more itchy, almost unbearably so. there were some red areas developing on the shaft mostly on the band right below the head and at the bottom area of the banded section. thought it may be a yeast infection as i've been sweating a lot at work and had to work some very long days and i've been eating like **** for the last month, so I tried some monistat on it and waited till today.

When I woke up this morning it has swollen to about twice it's normal circumference and it's now fairly bright red all along the entire shaft and it still itches like hell. Also my ears have become extremely itchy and a bit red. what should i do?

Went to the doctor and just got back. The doc thought it was some sort of dermatitis and prescribed some Prednisone. I'm hoping this helps because this is excruciating.

If your penis is swollen to twice its normal size, you need to seek medical attention promptly.  This means today.

It might be yeast, but its a severe reaction to it, and you need to seek some medical care.

Forgot to add, I've been with the same sexual partner for 4 years and havent had sex in a couple weeks, she's having no problems at the moment so it seems unlikely i've caught anything from her
