What are the chances that I got an STD from this encounter..

This man laid over me while he was wearing tight underwear and he put his testicles in my face/near my mouth and I bit him/his testicles to get him off of me. What are the chances that I caught an STD if he has one? He jumped off as soon as I bit him

Thank you. I'm okay just very worried since I have a boyfriend.. I didn't want him to think I cheated on him if I caught something via mouth.
Have you told him what happened? Have you told anyone? You don't have to, but it would be nice to have some support.

A bite is very quick, and there isn't any chance of you getting anything from his testicles. Even if you had bitten his penis, the chances would be very low, but the skin on his testicles is thicker, and and if he had herpes or anything, no virus sheds from the thicker skin there.

If he bled, there probably wasn't enough blood in your mouth to infect you with anything, and your saliva can help prevent HIV infection. Even full on oral sex isn't a risk for HIV.

You'd have had to have his penis in your mouth to get gonorrhea or chlamydia, so you're safe there.

You'd have to have direct contact with a syphilis sore to get that, and syphilis is pretty uncommon in Maine (assuming that's where you are from your name). They had 686 cases in 2018, or 108, depending on the source. (http://outbreaknewstoday.com/maine-reports-increases-gonorrhea-syphilis-emphasizes-importance-testing-12384/ or  https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/mecdc/infectious-disease/hiv-std/documents/pdf/Syphilis-Surveillance-Report-2018.pdf) Either way, it's not a lot. Syphilis is uncommon in most developed countries.

So really, you're fine in regards to STDs. I'm sorry that happened to you.

If you need to talk to someone, we have some resources. Just let us know.
