Rash on inside of groin and strange itch in head of penis

Hello,
2 months ago I had unprotected vaginal sex with a woman I am 20 years old male. I am an athlete . About a week ago I started to experience a mild rash with an itch that would occasionally bug the tip of my penis just inside. I have gone to the doctors who did not examine it but said it was more than likely jock itch. I have started lotrmin as of yesterday and still experience the itch. I have scratched the groin to the point where it now burns. I would like to know if this sounds like something more serious? I'm a rather pairinod person.
Thank you

this sounds like jock itch. are you treating it?

since you had unprotected sex, you should follow up with proper testing at the proper times. You can get tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia, and syphilis now. You can get tested for hiv and herpes in another month.

have you had your hpv shots to protect you against certain hpv infections?

We always recommend protected sexual contact. Not worth the cost of testing repeatedly nor is it worth the worry of having unprotected sexual contact. Also using condoms helps to prevent pregnancy too which can potentially save you a heck of a lot of money in the long run!

I should also add that the rash appears to be in the skin food between my leg and groin and is in a straight line on either side. It's relatively small. Either from playing with it or progression it has become more of a burning sensation with red splotches that may be scab type
