chlamydia

I had extra marital sex 5-6 months ago with a woman I believe to be promiscuous.  I used a condom for vaginal sex.

I got tested on Wednesday afternoon for HIV etc (bloods) and a urine sample to be tested for chlamydia. I rang up today (Friday afternoon) two days later. They had my HIV and syphilis results - both negative.

My concern is that the other result may not be in because I have chlamydia so they are retesting maybe.

The nurse who did the test said it does sometimes take longer - up to a week but the nurse I got the results off seems to think it may be because they have found something.

I have two questions:

1) What are my chances of having caught something??
2) Do you think the delay means I may be positive for chlamydia?

Your protected Vaginal sex carried NO RISK for chlamydia.

Apologies for the mistake above.

You had protected sex which carries negligible risk for STD.
Wait for your results.  Urine Culture takes time.
No need to be worked up.
