embarrassing masturbation question...

Alright, so I have a very embarrassing question, but could not find any info on the net, so I need to ask it.  I was masturbating, with my hand, and licked my fingers after touching myself for lube.....I have not noticed any outbreaks of any sort in or on my genitals, but if there were, would it be possible to spread herpes to my mouth?  I am a huge hypochondriac, and am freaking out.  I only touched my tounge, but then licked my lips.  What are the chances?
Thank you.

I don't recommend using saliva for lube - but not because of transmitting your oral herpes to your genital area or vice versa. It's because 1 - it's a crappy lube and 2 - it's associated with yeast infections in females.  It's well worth buying a decent lube to use for sex and masturbation.

From the moment you are infected with herpes - either orally or genitally - your body begins to produce protective antibodies that help to keep you from spreading the virus to other body parts.  You are worrying about nothing.
