True 1 g of zirthro is not the correct dose. Test again in one month, if negative, I agree with vance2335 you probably had a false positive.
Also know that gonorrhea though one of the easier STDs to get, its less common than chlamydia.
Yeah I was treated,l , and thought later I should have retested, but was freaked out at the time. Idk though because he treated me with 1g of azithromycin, and from my understanding that's not enough for gonorrhea anyway so idk. I would think the doctor would know the correct protocol on treatment.
Have you been treated for gonorrhea? If so then you will never know if a false positive or not. And yes they are rare but based on all of your negative tests before that is the most likely situation.
Idk it seems pretty rare to get a false positive. Its like the lab goes to test, and throw the dice like hmm should we give her a neg or positive today lol. Idk but I didn't have sex with him at all from the second negative until a month or two before the positive result. I was seperated, and wasn't sexually active so who knows. I had an early miscarriage from him when they found it. What freaked me out was over the last year I kept having to urinate constantly...which is a symptom. When I went to the doctor he kept doing cultures on my urine, and said I was colonized with strep b in the urine. I just was afraid I had this std even though I had 2 negatives, and its been eating at my body. Great! My luck. I never seen his results just that he said it was negative, and really don't care to see them.
Based on negative tests u and husband had I can only guess that you got a false positive. Or your husband transmitted it to you, then it clear its self in him or he took medication to clear it.
