gonorrhea

I was diagnosed with gonorrhea two week ago. I still do not know how i could got it

I did had an unprotected oral and sex with a SW A on the 21/6/2007.
During this one month, i did not had any symptoms.
I then had another encounter with her(same girl) unprotected on the 19/7/2007.
I had another sex with one of my regular license/approved SW B(the type where there is check-up).
She did perform unprotected oral as usual and then protected sex.

My symptoms appeared on the 2/8/2007.

Q1) I was wondering if it is possible that my license SW B who was offering unprotected oral
with another customer who happen to had gono. Will she be immediately be affected? or there is still a certain probability % for her to get infected and likewise for me to be infected by her?
I dont really suspect SW A as i did not get gono after my first encounter with her.

Q2) After two weeks of medicine on doxy(not sure with the spelling). They perform a swab test(inserting something into my urine tract to collect samples) on me. Really felt pain. The doctor
said that my test had cleared of gono. However, there is still some germs and bacteria which they
said is also considered std. I ask them and they cant give me the name of he std. Quite a complete of silence in the room. i was given metronidazole 200mg to be taken 3 times daily. anothererythromycin 250mg to be taken 2 tablets 4 times daily. All these to be complete in 2 weeks times before another swab test. What kind of std normally are diagnose to be incorporated with these two medicine?

It sounds like you are in Singapore. Gonorhea has hit superbug status, especailly in Asia. Oral (pill) treatment no longer works.

1) You should consider getting a shot of Rocefin 250mg single dose.

2) Metronidazole is used to treat Trichonoma which is a parasite not a bacteria. A better form of treatment is Tinidazole, which is easily found in Asia. You may find it under the name of GynoGena made in Thailand.  The dose is single dose 2 grams.

3) Erythromycin is used to combat chlamydia and gonorhea. It sounds like the doctor wants you to take 1.5 grams or Erythromycin for 2 weeks....  that can be painful, speaking from experience.

4) The more modern approach to chlamydia is a single dose of Zithromax 1 gram.

Thus far you have taken Doxy, I would imagine that would have killed off chlamydia if you had it. Doxy would not be effective to a "superbug" form of Gonorhea. Which is what is being found in Asia.

My unqualified opinion is if you did have gonorea, you still have it.

Here in Thailand, if you go to a qualified STD doctor, he will give you:

1) 250mg Shot of Rocefin
2) 1 gram of Zithromax

and you are done.

I did not go to a good doctor, and I took enough pills to medicate an army.  I hope you don't do the same.
