gonorrhea in throat? Or dormant STI?

Oral from a guy the other night, that night I received oral off another guy and 4 days later he said he has a severe throat infection. Could be strep throat

I have no symptoms so far, what do I do? The second guy is only sexually active with me.

Does gonorrhea in the throat go away on its own? The doctor has said it's a throat infection and given penicillin but we've kissed since and I've not caught anything, not even a cough, so it can't be strep.

Hi if you dont have any gono symptoms then we can assume its not gono and gono is about the only std that can get in the throat so its most likley a non std infection. In men gono does not lie dormant in the penis and almost always shows symptoms

Hi thanks for the response! Do you mean even in 2-6 days that he's got those symptoms in his throat that I'd have symptoms appear on my penis too? There's no burning from my penis or swelling or discharge. I thought usually they lie dormant until after incubation? It just seems all too coincidental for him to have such a sore throat - I've seen it and it looks bad. The nurse thinks it's definitely a bacterial infection too.
