hard lump on penis

I am 32 years old/male.  I have recently had a hard pea-sized lump on the under-side shaft of my penis, about an inch from the scrotum.  It was very hard, and became shiny after about 3 days, and finally after some squeezing, it did pop. Dark puss and blood did come out.  I thought it might be an in-grown hair, so i did a bit of digging around with a sharp tweezer, in search of the culprit, with no avail.  It now looks like a lesion, and i am nervous that it may be herpes.  I do have HSV-1, but i  never get fever blisters.  Also, probably about 3-4 weeks ago, i did notice that i had a hemerrhoid, and i have never had one before.  I know that sometimes that can be mistaken for herpes as well.  Can anyone help with a diagnosis? Does this sound like herpes?

You need to be patient, we volunteer on this forum and for the most part are only around monday-friday.

As to your question, bumps/lumps can be many things often not a STD, but you would have to see a Dr to find out what it is.
