herpes or just bad timing

sooo i went camping in 20 degree weather about 2 or 3 weeks ago, we were drinking so we were a little more carefree about things when we were fooling around, such as dirty hands from the outdoors and what not
anyways, about 2 days later my boyfriend developed strep throat, which made sense considering it was going around campus and we spent the night in below freezing weather. Also, 2 days after I developed what I thought was a yeast infection that cleared up very easily with vagisil. I assumed it was because we weren't able to wash our hands or anything, so i got an infection from that. But then about one week after camping I developed a cold sore on my upper lip. It wasn't painful or anything but it was definitely a cold sore. and 3 weeks later, the lump is still there but it is not red anymore. I haven't had any noticable symptoms on my genitals but now that I read more about symptoms, I'm afraid that my "yeast infection" may another herpes type symptom, and his strep throat may be a herpes symptom as well

I think it could be a coincidence, but its good that you are going to see the doctor.  Ask your doctor for a type specific IgG herpes blood test, and your bf should also get that.

If you all haven't been tested for other stds, now is a good time.

Thank you for your help!
Do you think that the white vaginal discharge, yeast infection if i am correct, was just a coincidence? I read on a symptoms website that discharge like that of a yeast infection is sometimes a symptom.  I'm just nervous because so many things happened within a short time period. I'm going to my doctor tomorrow, but I feel like I should ask him to get tested as well, even if I am negative for herpes.

If its still lingering at 3 weeks, and wasn't painful, its probably not a cold sore.

How was he diagnosed with strep?  Did he have a throat culture?  If he did, and it came back as strep, its strep.
