hpv warts

i recently got dumped afetr being with  my bf for 5 years. he had warts 2 years after which later turned out to be hpv . i just have one little bump on my vaginal area after 5 years of being with him and its fi can you explain what type of hpv i have is it high risk or low risk. will i ever get rid of it. i feel so depressed sad and alone i can never intimacy with no one, i feel dirty and infected.

Thank You. i had a pap its normal for now. so i have to do check up how often yearly or every 6 months.

Warts are caused by low risk types and most docs suggest the immune system clears the virus but can take a couple of years. You need to take regular smear tests for any abnormal cells. You can have the warts treated so dont feel dirty or infected. Most cases are harmless and will resolve themselves.  It's estimated that about 80% of sexually active people will be infected with 1 type of hpv but most commonly these cause no symptoms and clear up after a couple of years
