Big Mistake-Sex with a sex worker in Puerto Rico

Two days ago I had protected sex with a prostitute at a strip club in San Juan. She provided oral and vaginal sex. A condom was used for both oral and vaginal sex and I believe that it stayed intact (she provided the condom). I believe the vaginal sex lasted less then two minutes, after which I ejaculated inside her.

At this time I have no symptoms, however I have the following questions..
1)I am concerned if I am at risk for any STD-particularly HIV?
2) I have decided that I will get tested for all STDs. When is the earliest I can do so? I have read that HIV can't be detected for three months? Is there any way I could get a reliable result within six weeks (I live in a small Carribbean country with limited medical facilities however will be travelling to my home city in the US in six weeks).
3) I have not seen my girlfriend for two months and I am scheduled home for a visit six weeks from now. I don't want to put her at risk for anything. Is there any way I can be 100% sure that I am STD free within six weeks? If not, I don't know how I can explain to her that we can't have sex after three and a half months apart.

Your response is very appreciated. This issue is weighing on my mind immensely and I have been very depressed and guilty ever since the encounter. Please help...

Hello,
We seemed to have missed your post.  My apologies for not having answered your questions sooner.  Thank you very much for your contribution to our STD forum.
Let me answer your questions here as follows:

1)I am concerned if I am at risk for any STD-particularly HIV?

IF THE CONDOM REMAINED INATACT AND IN PLACE, NO RISK OF HIV OR ANY OTHER STD.  THE USE OF CONDOMS IS SAFE!!

MOST COMMON STDs CAN BE DETECTED ONLY AFTER A FEW DAYS FROM A SEXUAL ENCOUNTER INCLUDING CHLAMYDIA, GONORRHOEA AND NON-SPECIFIC URETHRITIS.  HEPATITIS B, SYPHILIS AND HIV (IF HAVING A HIV DUO OR COMBO TEST- TESTING ANTIBODIES+ANTIGEN p24) CAN BE TESTED AFTER 4 WEEKS WITH FULLY CONCLUSIVE TEST RESULTS.

YOU CAN HAVE A FULL STD SCREENING AT 4 WEEKS.  THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH. HOWEVER IN ANY CASE, YOU DO NOT REALLY NEED IT AS YOU DID NOT PUT YOURSELF AT RISK.

Best wishes,

Dr José

Thanks for your response. Just one more quick question. You did not mention the test for Herpes. How soon can one test for that to get a fully conclusive result? Also, would the p24 antigen test be fully accurate after six weeks (not four)? I won't have access to the test for that length of time because of my current location, also how long does it take to get the result from a p24 antigen test? Thank you very much.
