Scared to death

5 weeks ago yesterday, I received unprotected oral sex form a sex worker. I am male, sex worked female. It lasted about 10 mins and I ejaculated in her mouth. Since then, I have been worried sick that I may have caught something from her that I could pass to my wife. I have not had any spots, scabs or rashes, but I do have this constant feeling in my penis. Pain is too strong a a word, but a constant dull ache, especially at the end of my penis and the opening of the penile canal looks a little red. I also feel like I need to urinate all the time, even if very little comes out. I keep going up and down emotionally. One day I feel better as I'm convinced I don't have anything, but other days I worry like hell and this feeling in my penis won't go away. I have had unprotected intercourse and oral sex with my wife since the incident (first time 2 weeks after my experience with the sex worker). Yesterday my wife complained that her vagina was itchy and I noticed her rubbing it a couple of times and of course this has me more worried than ever. We were just at some hot baths and she commented that the itching feeling might be form that. I don't know what to do. I guess I need to go get blood tests for all possible deseases and a urine test for NGU. After 5 weeks without any spots, scabs or rashes, is there anything you can definitely rule out ? Also what tests do you recommend I get done tomorrow, so I can find out once and for all if I have anything. Thanks for your help.

Hello

It is certainly possible to pick up bacterial std's such as chlamydia, gonorrhoea, ureaplasma, mycoplasma syphilis and also viral std's such as herpes from unprotected oral sex.

This is probably more likely I'm afraid from a sex worker who obviously might have greater exposure than most to STD's.

You will not acquire HIV from this event.

I suggest you have tests for all the above and hopefully, you will not have any of these and will not have passed them to your wife.

best regards, Sean

Thanks for your reply. I went and got tested for absolutely everything yesterday and unfortunately I have come back positive for chlamydia. Everything else came back negative including herpes, but do I need to get retested again and if so when. What should I take for the chlamydia ? I assume my wife will also have to take it. I have no idea how I am going to tell her - can I pass it off as a urine infection and say the doctor advised her also to take the antibiotics ? It may sound stupid, but I have no idea what else to do. The truth may ned my marriage. Please help.
