Hello,
Thank you very much for your post and welcome to our forum. Apologies for the delay in replying.
From the point of view of HIV infection or any other blood borne viral infection, I can assure that you did not put yourself at risk. However there are many other risks as follows:
- Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea, but also NSU (non-specific urethritis). You need a urine test and a swb for these.
- Herpes, if the person had cold sores in her mouth and you yourself do not suffer from this. Difficult to test so early on and I would only worry if you develop any symptoms such as a painful blistery rash on your penis.
- Syphilis, possible but rare among heterosexuals. Seek medical advice if you were to develop a painless ulcer on your penis. A blood test after 4 weeks would determine this. However if you do not get any symptoms, I do not believe that you need to worry about it.
Therefore I recommend you to be tested for the infections mentione din the first point and refrain from having sex with your partner until you get the negative results.
I hope this helsp.
Best wishes,
Dr José
