Three days ago, I received unprotected oral sex and had condom-protected vaginal sex with a sex worker.
The next day, I noticed 2 little bumps on my penis, that looked a little like pimples, but am not sure whether I've had them before. I visited a doctor to ask if they were genital warts. He said it's too early to tell. He also said that I can receive ANY STD from oral sex apart from HIV. He advised me to get Gardasil-vaccinated, as he said that if I do have HPV, the Gardasil would help contain its symptoms. He also suggested that I get tested for Hep B immediately, and then to get a complete test in 3 months time for all STD's. The 2 bumps have since disappeared.
I have a girlfriend and we have oral sex, but not vaginal sex. I am worried sick of what I might pass to her. As far as I can, I hope I don't have to tell her about my indiscretion as this one incident is enough to make me not visit a sex worker again.
1) What could I have caught from the sex worker given my contact with her? I received oral sex from her for less than half a minute, while the vaginal sex we had was protected with a condom. Could I have caught HPV, gonorrhea, syphilis, Hep B, Chlamydia, herpes, HIV, etc from just receiving oral sex from her?
2) Do I have to wait 3 months to get a full check-up? The doctor suggested I could get one now, but some diseases might not yet show up and results would only be clearer 3 months later. How soon can I get tested for the various diseases listed in Q1 above?
3) Could I possibly pass anything to my girlfriend through kissing, oral sex and sharing food/drinks? I’ve read that kissing and sharing food/drinks should be ok, but I’m worried I might unknowingly pass something to her when receiving oral sex.
4) Is it possible that I might carry an STD bacteria/virus and not suffer any symptoms (and thus not know unless I get tested), and at the same time pass it to my girlfriend?
I hope to hear from a doctor soon.
