Complications after chlamydia treatment

A few months ago my girlfriend and I were both treated for chlamydia two months after I had been infected. Months after, we both tested negative however we are both experiencing symptoms following the infection and or treatment.

Both experiencing slight back pain every now and then. Both experiencing slight lower abdomen pain. I am experiencing slight pain in the testicles as well as a dull burning in the eurethra.

As we are traveling and on a very strict budget we haven't consulted medical advice (I know this will be recommended)

I have read about epidiymitis, pelvic inflammatory disease and other symptoms arising from the complications of chlamydia and am wondering if our chances of having some of these.

Just saw a doctor who did a 20 minute urine test and he said everything was fine and seemed to put current issues down to anxiety but there's no doubting the tenderness of my testicles and urethra which feels scarred.

Can anyone tell me if my girlfriend or I are likely to have any of the chlamidial bacteria complications after 2 months of infection or do they come about from longer periods of infection?

The best thing is to get a medical consult. If you were diagnised with chlamydia. What was your exposure? Unprotected sex? You should have done a full std panel test. Anyway you need to be seen by a doctor ASAP.
