Condom broke during sex with prostitute? Should I be worried?

I am nervous because the condom broke during sex. When we fort started she gave me oral. After that we decided that we would have sex. She asked me if I had a condom. I said yea and put it on. During sex the condom broke. Once we realized the condom broke she said she would give me oral sex until I ejaculate.

I am worried cause I think I was in here for 30-60 seconds during the time the condom broke. I’m not sure cause I’m not exactly sure when the condom broke. I am worried because I have a girlfriend too and I pray that this woman is clean.  She lives in a woman shelter and told me this is how she make her money. The woman said she was good medically but not psychologically. She said I have nothing to worry about. At the same time I can’t trust everyone word.

What should I do? I’m scared

Another thing I meant to mention is that she lives in a women mental health shelter

The condom breaking isn't much of a concern, since it was so brief.

However, receiving unprotected oral sex puts you at risk for syphilis, genital herpes type 1, gonorrhea and NGU.

Syphilis isn't that common, and your partner would have had to have a sore in her mouth to transmit it. You wouldn't see symptoms of this for 10-90 days, but the average is 21 days, and you'd get a sore called a chancre. This doesn't cause burning, pain, discharge, etc. You can test for this at 6 weeks. If you get symptoms, but test negative at 6 weeks, test again at 90 days.

If you don't already have herpes type 1 (think oral sores, like cold sores but not canker sores), then you could get genital herpes type 1 from receiving oral sex. This can happen even if the person performing oral doesn't have a sore, but it's more likely if they do. The time from infection to symptoms is usually 2-12 days, but the average is 4 days. You can test for this now, and then again at 4 months to make sure you don't have it. If you test positive now, it's a pre-existing infection that you had before this encounter. About half the adult population has this, and 90% don’t know it.

You'd see symptoms of gonorrhea at about 2-5 days, and this would usually be a discharge, burning, etc. Some people don't get symptoms. You can test for this as early as 3 days, but 5 days is better. You can have a urine test or a swab test.

NGU is an infection in the urethra that is caused by anything other than gonorrhea (nongonococcal urethritis urethritis, sometimes called NSU, for non-specific). This can be caused by normal mouth bacteria entering the urethra, and the symptoms and testing times are the same as gonorrhea.

There is definitely a risk here, but oral sex is lower risk than intercourse.
Ok thanks. I was actually more worried about the condom breaking than oral sex. I know the chances of catching a std are higher with sexual intercourse.

So are you saying that I shouldn’t be that worried about the condom breaking because I wasn’t inside her too long unprotected?  Also what are the symptoms for chlaymadia?
I wouldn't be all that worried about the condom breaking. Yes, there's a risk - it's just not that high since it was so brief. If you have had other possible exposures, you can test. If it's just this one, I see no reason to run out and test.

Remember that she is using condoms for HER protection far more than yours. She is protecting her health and her livelihood. Your concerns are secondary to her own.

If men do get symptoms of chlamydia - and most men (and women) don't - they'd be:

    A discharge from their penis;
    A burning sensation when urinating;
    Pain and swelling in one or both testicles (although this is less common).

If you decide to test, the timing is the same as gonorrhea listed above - you can test as early as 3 days, but 5 is better.
Ok I also meant to tell you that I think the condom broke because she was a little dry. I noticed she licked her hands and rubbed her a vagina a few times.  She also put my condom on with her mouth. Not only was the condom broke but the tip completely came off. I was in her unprotected for 30-60 seconds.

I just wanted to let you know. I’m definitely going to get tested. Will give a few days like you said and try to stop worrying so much
None of that changes anything.

Stay off the internet, go do something fun, and see how you feel. :)
