go and get tested at the proper time. depending on who you see depends if you get treated right then and there or if they wait for your actual test results to come back. no difference in treating chlamydia one day into infection or 1 week. it's easily treated and in this day and age of antibiotic resistant infections, waiting to treat if you are found to actually be infected is the most responsible thing to do.
Sorry, please omit "and probably to be best answered by a doctor."
So being issued medicine the next day is not going to prevent/cure this infection? One has to wait a week? I guess I am curious to find out if taking the medicine before a test can pick up an infection will still work on killing the infection? I understand that one has to wait three days to a week before getting results, but can medicine be issued to kill what one has already claimed before being tested? Its a little different than what others have asked and probably to be best answered by a doctor.
you need to wait 1 week post encounter and then be tested. your regular doctor can do this or you can go to your local health department and have it done.
since it appears that this partner is irresponsible, I'd also cover your full std testing bases. You can get tested for syphilis anytime after 6 weeks post encounter and herpes and hiv can be done anytime after 3 months post encounter.
