Did the dermatologist give you any instructions like "apply this cream X times/day for 1-2 weeks and then return if things aren't better in a month" or anything of that sort? If not, those are the instructions I'm giving you about how to follow up on this :)

The Dr's advice is usually the best advice. If you are still concerned then I would do a follow up with him/her.
I saw the dermatologist & he told me it didn't seem like anything foul. I don't know; these lil' white patches are not going away necessarily with this cream I was perscribed for dermatitis.
Any insight?
If I have HPV at all, it would be low-risk [my partner was tested, like i said before.] I saw my regular doctor today & he couldn't even really see anything with the naked eye. I have an appointment with my dermatologist this weekend - I'll see what he says.
gracefromHHP... "This is not a std" helped alot. I appreciate ur insight, as well as Mr. Blue.
I was going to say the same thing. You smoke. The hpv infections that turn into oral cancers do not resemble regular warts like you'd find on your finger either. This has been there 3 months now so it's time to go and see a dermatologist about this.
This is not a std.

Well it might sound obvious, but have you considered the effects of what smoking does to the mouth?
