Note Sure

Had NGU in 1998. Yes, 11 years ago. I went to a free clinic and was given meds to take for two weeks. I took all of them and returned for a follow up. Was given another set of meds for another two weeks, but for some reason was not required to do a follow up. I took all of those meds as well and abstained from sex.

I am now married and am trying to father a child. Did a semen ananlysis which came back low count and motility. I still have a slit itch in my urethra, but it comes and goes. Could these be related? Could the NGU still be giving me issues after 11 years? I have no other symptons at all (no burning, blood....).

Any ideas?

I would be very surprised if it was related to that.

No, I have not discussed the itching with anybody. We just started the process. Did a semen sample through my wifes OB/GYN. I am headed to the urologyst in early Feb. I will discuss it with him. I can handle the low fertility though it would really bother me if it was caused by my stupidity a decade ago.

It's not related to the infection you had 11 years ago. It sounds like you are already being followed by a specialist - have you discussed your itching after sex with them?

The itch is generally after sex and will come and go for a few days. It then stops.

I highly doubt that it would be NGU without any more symptoms then a slight itch that comes and goes.
