Oral Gonorrhea From Fellatio

Dear Doctor about 5 days ago I gave a young man fellatio.  I did not swallow any semen but it is possible I may have gotten some precum.  About 15 minutes after this I rinsed  my mouth with hydrogen peroxide and mouthwash. Now the back of my throat is very sore with white patches. What is the possibility of this being oral gonorrhea or another STDs.

See? It could of been just simple strep or a simple sore throat. Heck, it could of even been allergies. But if you are sexually active, do get tested for a complete peace of mind. Because while you do not show symptoms, the psychological and mental stress could recur from thinking that you have it because you don't know for sure because of what happened. I know this personally, and having peace of mind is important.

This isn't a forum with doctors, you have to pay for that. This is a forum where other MedHelp members give others information.

Go to your doctor and get it looked at. The symptoms you are describing seem like strep throat. White throat patches could also be a symptom of any STD, including Syphilis, but symptoms for Syphilis take more than 5 days represent from what I understand. It could also be Tonsillitis, or Candidiasis. Candidiasis is common in AIDS patients, but it takes years to develop AIDS after becoming HIV positive and Candidiasis can happen to anyone who isn't HIV/AIDS infected as well. One of my friends had this happen to him once, and he was clean for STDs, it was just something weird that happened.

But only your doctor can tell you what is wrong. I would advise you to relax for the time being. But do get tested, and abstain from sexual activities until your results are returned to you. If they are positive, seek treatment, and abstain from sexual activity until your treatment is completed and your doctor has concluded that you are no longer infected. Also make sure that your partner is treated as well.
